I have a necklace, bracelet and 2 pairs of earrings made in the early 1930's by a jeweler in Whitehorse, B. C. His name was Jack Elliot. He made his jewelry from mastedon ivory and gold nuggets. My jewelry was given to me by my grandmother who received the jewlery as a gift from Jack Elliot. They met in Kamloops, B.C. and became good friends. My grandparents eventually moved to Whitehorse as a result of their friendship with Jack Elliot. My grandmother always had her jewelry handmade and bought many other items from Jack.

The necklace, bracelet, and earrings are at least 14 carat, perhaps even 18 gold chains with mastedon ivory hearts encircling the chain on the necklace and bracelet, with gold nuggets attached in the middle of each heart. The pierced earrings are mastedon ivory heart droplets, again with gold nuggets in the middle of the hearts.
